For the convenience of our customers, we’ve compiled a list of our most commonly asked questions and their associated responses.

How much does concrete weigh?

Average weight is 6 to 8 lbs per square foot.

How long will my project take?

While lead times may vary, we strive to have your project installed within 6 to 8 weeks from final measurements, specifications, and receipt of deposit.

Is concrete considered non-combustible?

Yes! Our concrete is made of mineral components that are non-combustible, which means that they will not burn. Our Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) offers a flame spread of zero. This non-combustible material can achieve a two-hour fire rating.

Where can I get samples of your concrete?

Samples of our materials are available at our showroom located at 237 39 Ave NE Calgary, AB. If you’re unable to stop by to visit us, we can also ship your desired samples within North America.

Can you do custom colours?

Yes! While we can’t guarantee a perfect colour match due to the varied natural properties of concrete, we will do our best to match up your colour and provide you with a similarly toned product for your consideration.

Can you replicate a design from a photo or magazine?

Yes! We often receive an inspiration photo as a first step in the design process.

How thick are the panels?

Our typical custom panels are 5/8” thick.

Can I install a surround myself?

To preserve the integrity of design and construction, we recommend only professional installation for our products. In Calgary and area, Sculptural Design installers will complete all installations. For installations outside of our service area, we highly recommend installation be completed by a professional stonemason and are happy to initiate a conversation on your behalf.

Do you ship?

Yes, we currently ship within North America. Please contact us for rates and shipping times.

Can I do a custom pattern?

We have successfully completed patterned installations in the past and in most cases, depending on the complexity and nature of your pattern, we are able to customize an installation in this fashion.

How much will my project cost?

At Sculptural Design, we focus on custom projects. As such, every project is unique and completely customized to your specifications. For this reason, it is impossible for us to provide an exact price for a project until it is fully scoped by our project professionals.
